YOUR LIFE A-Z:ZEALOUS
ZEALOUS
Be ZEALOUS about something. It is impossible to be ZEALOUS about everything so be ZEALOUS about something in your life. Even if it is your new found Yoga practice, training for a 10 K run, or the hot political topic of our time. Discover something that you can devote your passion too and be ZEALOUS about it by investing time and energy to your new project daily. Devote your self to this cause in an ardent and courageous fashion. Bypass your shyness and move forward discovering more about that which burns a hole in your soul, driving you to do something that matters to you. It does not matter if it does not matter to one other person. It only has to matter to you. If it does not matter to you, then you are not ZEALOUS. If it matters to you do not be lackadaisicalabout it, but ZEALOUS and work diligently on it giving it everything that you have. Energy is created when the fervor of ZEALOUS passion is burning beneath the surface. It is that ZEALOUS energy that moves mountains and overcomes obstacles that your inner Wizard flies over risking all to achieve your heart’s desire. Being ZEALOUS about something may not be comfortable to who you are and it may even bring social or familial disapproval, but don’t let anyone or anything stand your way from accomplishing your goals. Let yourself be ZEALOUS and watch mountains move right before your very eyes. Zealous is an enthusiastic energy that will multiply when given attention.

YOUR LIFE A-Z KNOW
![]() |
| BE WHO YOU ARE |
KNOW
“He who knows others is wise; he who knows himself is enlightened.”― Lao Tzu
KNOW yourself. The past few A-Z words have been a Direct invitation to KNOW yourself in precise, exact, and meaningful ways. KNOW what pleases you. KNOW your disappointments. KNOW your Values. KNOW your Interests. Know what you are talking about. If you have a passion then KNOW your passion. KNOW what it is that draws you to it and be able to articulate your passion to yourself and to others. KNOW yourself and you will be on the path to happiness and choices will become clear to you because you are clear with yourself. If you KNOW you like chocolate over vanilla then you don’t stand in front of the ice-cream choices for fifteen minutes before you decide. But if you KNOW you like to try different kinds, then give yourself five minutes to choose a new and different ice cream each time. Having a time limit helps you make up your mind in order that you don’t have to call yourself indecisive. Go back to your Values. Do you really Know what you Value? What decisions or situations are you struggling with currently? What do you need to KNOW about yourself to make those decisions easier for yourself? Spend time with yourself in order to really KNOW more about who you are and what you are about. If you do this when a real crisis hits or you are in a real do-it-now situation, you will KNOW what the best course of action for yourself is because you KNOW yourself.

Your Life A-Z KINDLE
KINDLE
No, I am not speaking of the Amazon Reading App! Even thought that is a great app and has clearly fed my book addiction, I am speaking of the old-time word KINDLE. The word means to ignite. Think about the words we have been using, such as aware, develop, interest. Now, on this eleventh day of the New Year, how are you doing? Where in your life do you need to light a fire, ignite an old dream, desire, or idea? What is it that you have been dreading, putting off? I invite you to choose one thing you have been procrastinating about and put it on top of your to do list. Light a fire under it and get it done. You will feel so much better and it will be out of the way. Kindle a desire to enjoy getting stuff out of the way. Retire the procrastinator in you and hire a "to do" manager. It is only eleven days into the New Year and you can transform this year into a year of action, vitality, and motivation by kindling your actions into success. After retiring the procrastinator, drag out an old dream or desire that you felt was too big for you and decide to pursue it just for the fun of it. Kindle the fire within and live with it burning new life into all of your actions this coming year. When you find yourself feeling bored or overwhelmed, just ask yourself, "what is it that I need to be kindling?"
