YOUR LIFE A-Z:CULTIVATE

CULTIVATION HAPPENS IN MANY FORMS
CULTIVATE

To CULTIVATE something is to prepare it by working with it in a mindful and careful way that provides the best flourishing environment. CULTIVATING soil for gardening is something most of us can relate too.  A healthy garden comes from healthy soil.  The soil is CULTIVATED with rich mulch and compost and the soil is turned over many times to help the soil breath and the nutrients from the compost to be equally mixed.  CULTIVATING your life requires the same sort of positive attention and energy.  Imagine your life as a beautiful and rich garden full of colorful vegetables and a large variety of colorful flowers.  Think about all of the diversity you want in your garden to create a year round growing season. CULTIVATE inner and outer diversity.  What is missing in your life that you want to plant?  Do you need to add theater or music to CULTIVATE entertainment in your life?  Are you bored with your workout routine and need to CULTIVATE something different by changing to yoga, Pilates, or running?  Is life uninteresting to you?  If so what do you need to CULTIVATE to make it interesting again.  Perhaps it is time for a new hobby, a new wardrobe, or maybe it is time to take a class and learn something new. There are many ways to CULTIVATE rich life and a fertile soul.  What is happening with your spirituality?  Maybe a divine connection needs to be CULTIVATED to bring a sense of purpose to your daily existence?   CULTIVATE so that your days can be rich and colorful.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:XANTHOPHYLL

YELLOW IS A FALL COLOR SAYS NATURE
XANTHOPHYLL
XANTHOPHYLL is the substance that turns leaves yellow and it appears that the season of fall is full of XANTHOPHYLL.  Fall is a beautiful time and it is important to drink in the richness of this beautiful season.  The green tree leaves give way to the colors of the season and the XANTHOPHYLL fills the cells of many leaves highlighting the brightness and complimenting the leaves of red.  XANTHOPHYLL is capable of bringing a smile to your face and brightening your mood.  How can you copy the idea of XANTHOPHYLL in your daily life?  It is important to brighten your surroundings and dress up the fall season with a touch of inner spectacular.  It is your time to shine, changing the monotony of green around you and complimenting your mood with ever changing positive emotions.  Which inner mood needs a little XANTHOPHYLL?   Why not go back to the word, “color,” and draw a circle and color the circle full of your current mood. When you are finished, color the outside of the circle yellow.  Notice what happens to your mood.  Next, draw a different circle and color it yellow.  Color the outside of the circle red and pay attention to which color gets your attention. XANTHOPHYLL is an amazing substance and it acts as nature’s paintbrush.  Act as your own paintbrush and bring some color into your life.  It will elevate your mood.  Whatever you do please go for a drive to anywhere where you can breathe in the colors of fall and fully enjoy the beauty of XANTHOPHYLL.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:SEASONS

EVERY ONE IS BEAUTIFUL

SEASONS

SEASONS are so refreshing.  Fall is my favorite SEASON.  What is yours?  SEASONS add a variety to the rhythm of life.  Can you imagine having an entire year of summer or winter?   That would be so boring.  Once you identify your favorite SEASON, ask yourself what are your favorite things to do during this SEASON?  SEASONS, especially favorite ones, can provide a change of pace, surrounding you with an aliveness that you just can’t create the other times of the year.  However, no SEASON needs to be hated.  Rain- storms and beaches can be fully enjoyed in the summer.  Snow, skiing, and fireplaces add ambiance and specialty foods to your winter.  The SEASON of spring brings you new life, green, and a sense of self-renewal of spring cleaning and de-cluttering.  Fall brings a chill to the air, colorful trees, and wonderful holidays like Halloween.  The SEASON calls you to the outside to hike, to see colors, to experience the crispness of the weather and taste the delicious fall flavors, such as pumpkin, sweat potatoes, and cinnamon.  The harvest is full and it is time to enjoy the richness of flavors, pumpkin carving, and dressing up in a Day of Dead costumes.  The SEASONAL change alerts you to how your lives are also SEASONAL.  Developmental stages mimic the SEASONS of the year.  A young child goes through very different stages every six months.  If you are being driven crazy by a SEASON, just wait for a few months, and the SEAON will change.
