QUIET your mind. QUIET is an
inside experience. QUIET is also an
outside experience. Libraries are
QUIET. Movie theaters, operas, plays,
and tennis matches are suppose to be QUIET.
Why is QUIET important? QUIET
allows you to concentrate and get in touch with you private thoughts. When you are always listening to the T.V.,
music, or background noise it is very hard to explore your thoughts and
feelings. Rain makes noise and it is
beautiful in its own way. Snow is really
magical and mystical and it is 100% quiet until you step on it and it makes
that wonderful crushing noise. If you
have ever been on a walk in a remote area while it is snowing everything is
QUIET unless an elk or deer is close by.
Listen intently, and if you hear a crushing of the snow look around and
you will probably see a wonderful animal eating from a tree and hearing the
hoofs crush the snow around it. QUIET
lends to the essence of the sacred.
Experiencing a time alone in perfect QUIET allows your mind to dump the
thoughts that fill it day and out and discover that QUIETNESS of just being
you. An interesting experiment is to have the family sit with only the light of
a candle for a period of twenty minutes (or five depending on age of the
children) experiencing QUIET. Listening
to what each person has to say after this experiment is a lot of fun. Set aside a time for QUEIT weekly.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:EXPERIMENT

PEACOCK'S HAVE NO WORRIES WITH SELF-EXPRESSION

EXPERIMENT
“Live your life as an EXPERIMENT,” says Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche. That one quote goes along way to reduce stress and prevent procrastination. An EXPERIMENT is a permission giving word allowing for flexibility and exploration. The only commitment is to try something different or create something new out of just an idea. Boredom sets in fast when we are creatures of habit doing the same old life day in and day out. We grow disgruntled, bored, fatigued, and lethargic with dull routines. In order to spice up your daily life, EXPERIMENT with all parts of it. EXPERIMENT with new foods. EXPERIMENT with new colors, breaking out of your clothes and outdated style. EXPERIMENT with a new hairstyle. EXPERIMENT with a new activity, such as trying golf, tennis, or biking for the first time. You do not have to invest or buy in to something and you can certainly quit if you don’t like it. Remember you are EXPERIMENTING to discover what you like. The commitment is to EXPERIMENT, not to finish or become proficient at it. If you do not like it and the EXPERIMENT brings you no joy then by all means toss the EXPERIMENT out the door. What is it that you have wanted to do? Try it as an EXPERIMENT and see what comes out of your EXPERIMENT. Nothing ventured –Nothing gained. EXPERIMENTING brings out a sense of adventure and excitement that cannot be experienced from the coach. If you are still not convinced, start by EXPERIMENTING with a new recipe and go from there.Thursday, March 6, 2014
YOUR LIFE A-Z:LUSH
![]() |
LET YOUR COLORS SHINE TODAY |
LUSH
Do something today to make your environment LUSH. As Merriam Webster says: “be lavishly productive.” You are the KINGFISH of your life. Yesterday you discarded, tossed, and deleted unnecessary chatter in your life. Today spice up you life with accents that highlight your heart. Add flowers, music, candles, and light to your space. Be colorful in your clothes and add a special touch to your hair. Smile. Bring the outside in to the inside of your life. Create in ways that make your life feel fertile with expectation of change. JUMP into your life in a new way today, exploring the abundance of your blessings and gratitude, and allowing new opportunities to flourish by nurturing them. Fertilize areas that need attention so that they can be all that you want them to be. Dance, sing, make today count in LUSH ways that make your feel like, “Oh, yeah. I want to be here now. I like my self and my space. I enjoy being alive this moment.” This is soLUSH that I want to drink in every moment of now. We once had someone tell us that if we tossed some green around our house that we would highlight our art. They were right. We finally understood what those fake green plants at department stores were for. What can you do today to jump in and add some LUSH to your life? Brighten up and smile.

YOUR LIFE A-Z DISCOVER
![]() |
Never Know What You Will Discover Inside |
DISCOVER
By allowing yourself to accept your
brilliance and gaining confidence with your new clear focus you will naturally
discover properties about yourself and others that you have not allowed your
self to see before. Perhaps you have
always been a creative person, but never allowed yourself to accept that your
creativity is a talent that you own. If
you own it then you can get it out of your closet, dust it off and do something
productive with it.
What parts of yourself have you locked
away in the closet? What were your
dreams, desires, and hopes that you banished as being ridiculous, immature, or
impossible? Pull those out of the closet
and dust them off. Discover again the
joy of being you and go for what it is that you want in your life today. Or get out of your way and DISCOVER something
brand new.
Explore and create new ideas discovering
things about yourself that you never dreamed existed inside of your soul. Open the window and look inside. You will probably be pleasantly surprised
with the undiscovered gifts that have been beautifully wrapped inside of you
all of your life. They are just sitting
there waiting for you to be curious enough to look inside and discover brand new opportunities to build the future you are wanting.
You can never obtain excellence if your
inner judge stops you before you even start something. Anyone that has created something of
excellence has failed more times than not and each time they try again,
correcting what did not work before.
However, the joy of trying and discovering new things is a journey of
inner excellence. Enjoy yours.
