YOUR LIFE A-Z: ORGANIC

GOOD EARTH AND WATER RESTORE US
ORGANIC

To eat or not to eat ORGANIC is a very important question these days and it is riddled with confusion.  ORGANIC is more expensive and as a result not an easy buy in for those struggling financially.  ORGANIC is confusing and reading the label seems to make it more confusing at times.  However, the more you learn the more sense it may make to make the switch.   I found a simple site: www.organic-center.com that keeps it simple and helpful.  However, in order for you to switch to ORGANIC you need a mental buy in that reaches into your belief system.  If you truly do not believe ORGANIC is necessary you are going to consistently choose non-organic because of price point and convenience.  Thus, rather than me or any other medical expert telling you what you should do, take personal responsibility and research the benefits of ORGANIC food and if you still do not believe it is important then don’t do it.  If you want to run your own experiment to see if eating ORGANIC makes a difference, then clean out the garbage food in your pantry and refrigerator and go ORGANIC completely for thirty days.  You may not notice a difference, but that difference may become very apparent once you add garbage food back to your diet.  It really takes less than thirty days to notice the difference.  ORGANIC can become an investment that you make in becoming healthier and making more responsible choices for your health.  If you don’t have your health, you have nothing.  Think about it and then act on it.

YOUR LIFE A-Z LUMINOUS

LOOK WITHIN-THE BEAUTY IS INSIDE

LUMINOUS

Following up on the word IGNITE, be LUMINOUS.   Be a voice of clarity in the darkness of daily life.  Realize and take personal responsibility that your actions, words, and even thoughts effect other people as well as your own demeanor in the world.    When you have a negative thought your body tightens, your behavior constricts, and you adapt your body to react to the negative input the brain is receiving.  Learn to transform negative thoughts by LUMINOUS thinking.  Shine some light on the darkness allowing time to reflect about how you reached such a negative thought and then allow that reflection to act as LUMINOUS moment to transform that negativity into something positive.  There is an old Sufi story about a teacher who lost his keys.  His students found him looking for his keys beneath the streetlight. After exhausting all efforts to find the keys one student asked,  “Where did you lose your keys?”  The teacher said, “Inside the house.”  LUMINOSITY helps you get clear about what questions to ask and where to search for what is missing.  LUMINOUS thinking heightens your ability to analyze and think things throw.  Following negative and critical thoughts down a dark road will lead you into depression and despair.  Allow yourself to shine the light where the darkness appears in order to get your life on track.  The more you allow the LUMINOUS presence of the light the more clarity you will receive about most of the issues in your life.  Light is just not light.  LUMINOUS light brings clarity to the darkness.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:KEY

THE KEY TO LIVE IS LIVING IT

KEY

It is hard to get into your home without a KEY.  Your car will not start without a KEY.   The KEY to your safe protects your valuables and as you get older (if you are like me) you spend a bit of time trying to locate your KEYS.   The KEY to this post is to make sure you know they KEY points to making your life meaningful today.  It is KEY to your health that you take responsibility for it and do not pawn your body off on your doctor.  Eating healthy and reading labels is KEY to you being in charge of what goes in your mouth.  Exercise is also KEY to feeling good about your body and keeping it in top shape.  Another KEY to a meaningful daily life is realizing that you are enough.   Quit trying to make yourself fit into someone else’s mold, be exquisitely all of who you are. Stop hiding.  Open the door of your heart and walk into life.  You are the KEY ingredient.  No one else can be you and the painful truth is no one else can live your life for you.  You are the KEY to your happiness and no one else.  Life is made up of KEY ingredients but you are the master KEY.  You unlock all the doors and you choose how to deal with what comes at you.  The KEY is to stand up and be responsible.  The KEY to your health, finances, relationships, connections, and life’s direction is in your heart.  Open it and live on.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:OBLIGATION

OBLIGATION IS STICKY SOMETIMES
OBLIGATION

OBLIGATION is a duty that you are responsible to perform for you or someone else.  The problem with OBLIGATION is that sometimes we feel OBLIGATED to do something for someone but it really is not our duty or responsibility to do it for them.  Feeling an OBLIGATION that is not really ours is called guilt.   Sometimes OBLIGATION is guilt and guilt can be a strong motivator and also a strong resentment maker.   If someone does a favor for you, are you OBLIGATED to do a favor for him/her?  No you are not.  The word favor implies a gift of the heart out of “I want to.”  If someone does something for you in order to OBLIGATE you to do something back, that is not a favor.  That is manipulation. It is important that you learn the difference between favor and manipulation.  The bottom line is that you are responsible for you and your choices and other people are equally responsible for his/her self.   Learning what your OBLIGATIONS are is important.  Some OBLIGATIONS you will do joyfully.  Other OBLIGATIONS such as a medical bill that seems completely unreasonable but you are still OBLIGATED to pay.  However, that payment may not be made with such joy, but some resentment.  Resentment is a part of life, it is important that you not allow resentment to move in, just let it pass through.  OBLIGATIONS are a part of our adult life and must be met.  How we meet those OBLIGATIONS determines what type of day we will have.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:RESPOND

WHAT IS CALLING YOU?
RESPOND

RESPOND to life.  Do not live life by default.  Live life by RESPONDING to your individual situation that you find yourself in right now.  Do not become passive. Do not ignore that which needs your attention regardless of how small or big that need.  Your pet deserves you to RESPOND to him or her with a pat, a smile, or a toss of a toy.  RESPOND to your co-workers and maybe take a special fruit or vegetable tray to share with them.  RESPOND to your family.  Take an electronic free day and RESPOND to your life and those in it.  Send a real card in the mail, pick up the phone and call a friend, or invite someone to lunch or coffee.  RESPOND to your life today by taking advantage of the many opportunities around you.  Be like a first RESPONDER.  Be prepared to take advantage of unexpected opportunities that come your way.  Explore your neighborhood and maybe you will find a drumming class or a hiking expedition to take advantage of because you are alert and ready to RESPOND to all possibilities that come your way.  Do not be lazy or asleep on your job of life. RESPOND to those who need your attention, care, compassion or just a gentle smile.  Do not walk into the super market as if you are sleep-walking.  RESPOND to strangers around you as if they make a difference because they do.  RESPOND to this opportunity to get your life off of the default button.
