YOUR LIFE A-Z: MULTI-TASK

MULTI-TASK IN A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT

MULTI-TASK

There is no better time that now to become proficient in the art of MULTI-TASKING.   To MULTI-TASK is to live in optimal organization in order to squeeze the zest out of life.  As you make your to-do list, (and you are doing that now aren’t you?) think in terms of organizing your list in ways that you can accomplish several things.  What gets done while you are doing laundry?  What three activities can you sweep together into one?  For instance, when doing your taxes it a good time to do a budget review and tweak the budget for next year, making sure there are plenty of dollars saved for that vacation.  In the United States we over-work and under-play.  It is time to reverse that but in order to make a dent in the amount of time and energy we waste each day, it is important to MULTI-TASK.  Organize your day, your week, your month and your year with key MULTI-TASKING actions that keep you moving forward and saving valuable time for playing while MULTI-TASKING your chores.  Think about adding music to the background of your chores to enhance your mood.  Add some humor and laughter into the mix of daily activity to boost your morale.  MULTI-TASKING does not have to be all about hard work, it can be about play too.  If play and laughter are not on your to-do list, it is likely that it won’t happen.  You must plan for it just like you plan for dinner.  It is the balance of MULTI-TASKING that fills your day with positive opportunities.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:BATTLE

STAND TALL ABOVE THE RUBLE AND BE NOT COMPLACENT

BATTLE

A BATTLE is not just a fight for fighting sake.  A BATTLE is a well thought our plan and strategy for defeating the enemy in ways that liberate you.  Notice the word used is not “kill” the enemy, but defeat the enemy.  Our anger often gets in the way of us living conscious healthy lifestyle choices and we end up trying to kill off that which bugs us rather than defeat it or render it powerless.  I tell the parents of teenage kids to choose their BATTLES with their children wisely, less they be fighting all of the time.  We are at the half-way point of the TWENY-MINUTE COACH now it is important to increase our energy for change and focus again of what is working and not working in our daily life.  A war cry lets the enemy know that you mean business.  Do you really mean business?  Do you really want to change and get what you want out of life or is that default button on?  A BATTLE?  Yes, life is often a BATTLE but what is missing is a well –organized strategy to get what you want.  Becoming complacent is dangerous on the BATTLE field.  The enemy is waiting for you to get lackadaisical.  The enemy wants to defeat you and send your back into your depression.  Be a warrior wizard and BATTLE until you see results.  You are capable of winning what you want, so look at your strategy, tweak it and move forward with the armor of great warrior prepared for BATTLE.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:PRIORITIZE

Prioritize In Order to Stay on Your Journey

PRIORITIZE

I am accustomed to say, “I will always have plenty of stuff in my inbox.”  That is true for me.  Thus, take this as permission not to have to pay attention to the minutia of life just because it is in your inbox.  Is it important?  Is it urgent?  Is it necessary?  Why is it in your inbox and not in your trashcan?  Our lives have many pieces inclusive of financial, physical, relational, and career but not limited too those four important categories.  Each category is clamoring for attention.  The only way that you are going to get important life goals accomplished it to PRIORITIZE.    What is the main goal in each of your chosen four categories and what is the three- step plan to accomplish each of those goals?  Develop a plan, PRIORITIZE the most important to you and then work the plan on a regular basis until you can check it off of your list.  Life is lived happier via the action or PRIORITIZE, PRIORITIZE, PRIORITIZE!   If you are not getting things accomplished in your life the big “P” word of PRIORITIZE is missing.  It takes time to plan, list, and PRIORITIZE, but efficiency and big bite-size accomplishments are the prize for Organizing and PRIORITIZING your daily, weekly, monthly and bucket list goals.  The idea of a bucket list helps us take an honest look at the things in our inbox and ask ourselves,  “Really, do I need to look at this three month old magazine?  Is that really how I want to use my time?”

YOUR LIFE A-Z: ORGANIZE

ORGANIZE AND PLAN AHEAD TO ENJOY THE BEAUTY

ORGANIZE

I don’t know how this important O word did not show up until now.  However, when it comes to Neat, List, and Next, it seems like synchronicity is bringing it around at just the right time moment. ORGANIZE your life.  ORGANIZE every part of it and use your important List and Next to help you.  It is a well-researched fact that the more ORGANIZED our life, home, finances, plans, and activities are the happier and less stressed we tend to be.  Don’t worry about getting obsessive.  That is just an excuse to keep you from being your best self.
ORGANIZE one drawer today and notice how it makes you feel.  Make a List of what else needs to be ORGANIZED in your home.  Next, ORGANIZE your finances.  Create and stick to a budget.  A healthy budget takes three months to create.  It takes a month to List every expense.  The next month you ORGANIZE priorities on that List and do your budget cuts.  On the third month you have a budget to live by for the next six months and then ORGANIZE it again.  ORGANIZE the places in your life that are creating chaos.  Use your List to ORGANIZE and prioritize your time so that you can make the most out of your day.  Remember you are the CEO of your life and you have the power to fix what is not working and add what you would like to the management of daily life.  ORGANIZE it in ways that make sense and that are useful to you.

YOUR LIFE A-Z:KAPUT

IT IS FINISHED. NO MORE.

KAPUT
Yep, it is KAPUT all right.  It is completely broken and useless.  How many things do you have in your house that are KAPUT?  How many pieces of clothes do you have in your closet or sock draw that you just need to take to the TRASH?  Yes, I said trash.  Don’t give your broken, used, useless, tattered clothes to someone else through the thrift store.  How tacky is that?  If it is so worn you won’t wear again with a sense of pride, why would you place it in a pink bag for a VET?  Those clothes in your closet that are too small or not your style or you only wore them once or twice, those are the clothes you put in the pink bag.  If you won’t wear it with pride then don’t give it to someone else.  Just because someone shops at the Good Will does not mean they are broken and useless.  I imagine your home is full of KAPUT’S and that those broken and useless things are taking up room that could be converted to a useful space for some of your treasures. Clear your KAPUT stuff out of your living space.  Make room for creative and clean energy.  If you hear negative self talk in your head, such as criticism from your mom or dad that says, “See, how wasteful you are.” Or “You never used that $43.00 potato peeler.”  Just remain on task.  Get rid of the KAPUTs and remind your parents and friends they don’t get a vote. If they can’t say something nice, don’t say it all.  KAPUT.  Those messages are broken and useless.
