YOUR LIFE A-Z: BOUNTY

DON'T LET YOUR WELL DRY UP,  MAKE SURE THER IS BOUNTY AVAILABLE

BOUNTY

The word BOUNTY means something is given generously or an award for doing something out of the norm such as joining the military or capturing a criminal.  In the Old West, BOUNTY hunters were self- appointed searchers for bad guys and made his/her living by going after criminals. Today you can be a BOUNTY hunter by going after your negative thoughts and paying yourself a certain sum of money each time you catch yourself turning your negative thought into a positive one.  You can create BOUNTY by putting money in a jar each time you complete a chore or do something kind.  There are many ways you can be a present day BOUNTY hunter.  The incentive for BOUNTY hunters of the West was the money they earned by being diligent in his/her search for the bad guy.  By creating a money jar to keep track of your positive behavior then you are building a reward system.  How do you know when to use the money?  Set up your own rules.  For instance if you are trying to lose weight, put five dollars in the jar each time you lose a pound.  If you are trying to be more positive put a dollar in the jar each time you catch yourself being positive.   Do this BOUNTY money jar for a month. If you have nothing you need or want to spend it on, place the BOUNTY in an envelope and start a new month.  You have permission to spend the BOUNTY at the end of each month.  Or, you can stock pile the BOUNTY for something special. It is up to you.
